Our platform is committed to protecting intellectual property rights and fostering a digital ecosystem that respects creativity, ownership, and compliance with applicable laws. As a global application, we recognize that our users originate from diverse regions, including the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, the rest of Latin America, Europe, and other parts of the world. Each of these jurisdictions has unique intellectual property laws and regulations that govern copyrights, trademarks, patents, and digital rights management.
We adhere to the principles established under U.S. intellectual property laws, including the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), as well as international frameworks such as the Berne Convention, the TRIPS Agreement, and the WIPO Copyright Treaty. Similarly, for users in Canada, Mexico, and Brazil, we align with respective national regulations, such as the Copyright Act (Canada), the Federal Copyright Law (Mexico), and the Lei de Direitos Autorais (Brazilian Copyright Law). In Europe, we comply with the EU Copyright Directive (2019), the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and other regional policies that influence digital content protection.
Copyright is a legal right that protects original works of authorship, including but not limited to user-generated videos, digital content, creative expressions, and multimedia productions uploaded to Ahgoo. Generally, copyright protects an original expression of an idea (such as the specific way a video, event announcement, or interactive content is created) but does not protect the underlying ideas, facts, or general concepts.
Ahgoo does not allow any content that infringes on copyright. The unauthorized use of copyrighted material belonging to others without appropriate authorization or a legally valid reason may constitute a violation of Ahgoo's policies.
However, not all unauthorized uses of copyrighted content automatically constitute infringement. In many jurisdictions, exceptions to copyright laws allow for the use of copyrighted works under specific circumstances without prior authorization. These include the fair use doctrine in the United States, fair dealing provisions in the European Union, and other statutory exceptions under applicable copyright laws in Latin America, Brazil, and beyond.
If you believe your copyrighted content has been used on Ahgoo without your permission, you are encouraged to contact the user directly for a resolution. This approach can often lead to a quicker and mutually beneficial outcome.
Alternatively, you may file a Copyright Infringement Report to request the removal of allegedly infringing content.
Send all required copyright complaints information to: policies.security@ahgoo.com
When you submit a complaint, Ahgoo may share your contact information with the user responsible for posting the content, along with details of the complaint.
Before submitting a report, please ensure your claim is valid. Knowingly submitting false or misleading reports may expose you to legal liability under laws such as Section 512(f) of the United States Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), the EU Copyright Directive (EU 2019/790), or equivalent copyright regulations in other countries.
In Brazil, copyright is governed by the Lei de Direitos Autorais (Copyright Law No. 9,610/1998), which grants exclusive rights to authors over their original works, including music, audiovisual content, and digital media.
Latin American countries have varying copyright laws, but most adhere to the Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works, which establishes general copyright protections.
Pursuant to Article 17 of the EU Copyright Directive, rightsholders may grant authorization for their copyrighted works to be available on Ahgoo.
If you wish to request that your music, videos, or other copyrighted works be made unavailable in the European Union (EU), you may file a formal removal request.
If you receive a copyright infringement notice that you believe to be incorrect, or if you have obtained the necessary authorization to use the content, you may attempt to resolve the matter directly with the copyright owner.
Additionally, you have the right to submit a Counter-Notification via our Copyright Counter-Notification Form.
Under EU law, certain uses of copyrighted content may be permissible without explicit authorization, such as for quotation, criticism, review, caricature, parody, or pastiche, provided that such use is fair.
Even if content qualifies for an exception, it remains subject to Ahgoo's Community Guidelines. This means that content containing hate speech, harassment, or other policy violations may still be removed.
A trademark is a word, symbol, slogan, design, or combination of these elements that identifies the source of a product or service and distinguishes it from other products or services. Ahgoo's trademarks, logos, and brand elements (collectively, the "Ahgoo Marks") are valuable assets that represent the identity and reputation of Ahgoo and its digital platform.
Trademark laws prohibit trademark infringement, which generally refers to the unauthorized use of a trademark or service mark in connection with goods or services in a way that is likely to cause confusion, deception, or mistake about the source, origin, sponsorship, or affiliation of the associated goods and/or services.
Unauthorized use of the Ahgoo Marks or any similar names, symbols, or designs that could cause confusion with our brand, including but not limited to misrepresentation, false endorsement, counterfeiting, or misleading association, is strictly prohibited.
If we determine that content or activities on the Ahgoo platform infringe on trademark rights, we may take one or more of the following actions:
To submit a complaint:
If your content has been removed due to an alleged trademark infringement, and you believe this was done in error or that you are lawfully using the trademark, you may submit a Counter-Notification via email to policies.security@ahgoo.com.
Users are responsible for the content they post. If you have questions about trademark law—for example, whether your use of a name or brand infringes upon another's rights—you should seek legal advice before posting or reporting content.
Ahgoo does not provide legal counsel or act as an arbitrator in trademark disputes. We handle complaints in compliance with our Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, and applicable trademark laws in jurisdictions including, but not limited to, the United States, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, Chile, and the European Union.
If you intentionally submit a fraudulent or misleading complaint, you may be held liable for damages under applicable laws.
